Our Story

  • She then went on to University and gained a BSc (Hons) in Human Nutrition. This enables GEM to support clients wishing to gain healthy eating habits and an overall balanced diet during their treatment plans
  • During her university studies a close member of her family was diagnosed with cancer. This made GEM rethink about what type of massage treatments would be beneficial for people with multiple long-term conditions. She went on to study reflexology and Indian head.

  • GEM travelled to Thailand and studied at several Thai massage schools to enhance her knowledge in massage techniques and body alignment awareness.
  • After studying an intensive teacher training course at the school of “ International Training Massage (ITM), GEM went on to study with many Guru’s such as: Ajarn Sinchai, Ajahn Pichest Boonthumme Mama Lek Chaiya (Nerve Touch) and more. GEM learnt a great deal about the power of the body, mind and stress reduction through massage, breath work and meditation.
  • This took GEM on a journey of learning not only different styles of Thai Massage that included abdominal chi massage, advanced stretching but also hand palm healing, emotional freedom therapy (EFT) and yoga benefits.
  • GEM worked at “Kobkun” Thai massage for a number of years. Then studied Shiatsu Massage for three years at the London College of Shiatsu, where she continues professional development.

  • During this time GEM provided charitable massage work at MIND, giving treatments to service users and went on to give end of life massage care to patients at St Joseph Hospice for a number of years.
About GEM
  • In 2013 GEM travelled to India where she studied an intense diploma course in Ayurvedic Massage at Anjali Research Centre. GEM gained further knowledge in a variety of Panchakarma massage treatments including marma massage, pregnancy and baby massage care, also including Nutrition and “Integrative Yoga Therapy”. This has further provided GEM with the knowledge to support and determine a personalised treatment for clients to achieve optimal health.
  • GEM went on to study 200-hours yoga teacher training (YTT) in Ashtanga yoga and Vinyasa flow at Sampoorna Yoga School in Goa for mind, body and soul balancing. Within GEMs treatments she is able to provide safe and secure yoga movements to help with greater range of movement and strengthen the body through balance and breath work to prevent injury and maintain a better lifestyle.
  • After COVID, GEM started work with the NHS, helping individuals with long-term health conditions take control of their health and improve their quality of life at their own pace.

  • In the last ten years GEM has been a self employed massage therapist. Often seen on the Urban Massage platform, providing massages in the comfort of clients' own home. She is extremely dedicated to her work and to the health of her clients and wants to reach out to people in her local Enfield area, where she has recently moved, with massage.

GEM believes bereavement can cause crippling stagnation and sedentary lifestyles can develop poor circulation, contributing to stagnation in different areas of the body.

Both can lead to various health issues later on in life. For this reason GEM takes the whole body approach into account, collaboratively working with clients to achieve their overall goals in their massage treatments.
